8 Freebies For Expecting Moms

When I was pregnant with my first, I was surprised with how many freebies I got. I wanted to share the different places I got freebies from so new expecting moms can get theirs too! Who doesn’t love a free gift?

Target & Amazon

Target was the first place I went to create a baby registry since it’s my favorite store. At Target they gave me a cute little goody bag after I scanned and registered items in-stores! Target’s scanners are really cool and easy to use. Plus, it’s so much fun to scan the adorable baby items.

Inside the goody bag were some coupons, a bottle, a pacifier, samples of laundry detergents, and other product samples like lotions. I actually used the free samples of laundry detergent to wash all of the baby clothes.

Amazon is another must place to register. I didn’t have Amazon during my first pregnancy, but I sure wish I did! Amazon will send you some freebies too. Their freebies are similar to Target’s but they include diapers and wipes too!

Motherhood Maternity

As you get further into your pregnancy you will likely need to buy some maternity clothes. My local mall has a Motherhood Maternity store so I bought some essentials like maternity jeans. As I was checking out they asked for my due date and gave me a goodie bag too! The goodie bag had a baby bottle and lots of coupons in it.

CarseatCanopy.com & Others

This is one of the many websites that offers freebies if you have a promo code (I got the promo codes in my goodie bags from the stores I list above). Some people may not consider this to be free since you do have to pay for shipping, but I ordered a car seat cover and I really liked it!

They even have the option to customize your car seat cover so you can add your baby’s name to it. This site also has sister sites that give away free things like a baby sling, books, diaper covers, and much more!

I think it is definitely worth checking it out. Here are the other websites down below.

Free Formula Samples

Similac and Enfamil gave me lots of samples and coupons. I didn’t sign up on their website so I’m guessing they got my information through my baby registry. You can also get free samples through their website when you sign-up.

Not only did they send me boxes of samples, but they continued to send me little packets and coupons for several months!

Local Pregnancy Center

During my senior year of college I interned at a local pregnancy center. It was a great experience and I was able to teach parenting classes and counsel expecting mothers, as well as host Bible studies. When expecting mothers and fathers took classes or Bible studies they could earn points which they could then trade them in to get baby essentials in their boutique.

The pregnancy center had some really nice stuff, including baby clothes, toys, blankets, diapers, wipes, formula, to essential daily stuff for moms like body lotion and maternity clothes. They also had a one time only emergency give away where a mother in need could get a pack of diapers, formula, and wipes at no cost or points.

I highly recommend that you check out your local pregnancy center to see what programs they offer. You could earn points to trade them in and get essential items.

Freebies While Traveling

While I was pregnant with my first I had to go to Japan unexpectedly due to a family member dying. Lets just say traveling over seas on a long flight with a significant time zone change is pretty tough on your pregnant body. Jet lag and eating different foods were never a big deal to me until I was pregnant!

If you are on a long plane ride I encourage you to tell the flight attendants. They gave me extra snacks and drinks like juice during my flight and it helped so much.

Free & Yard Sale Facebook Pages

We got a diaper changing table completely free through a friend of a friend who was getting rid of some baby things. I even got a changing mat and the covers for free. If you aren’t part of your local yard sale page or items swap page then you are missing out! I’ve seen countless posts of people giving away baby gear, formula, clothes, and furniture away for free.

Hospital (After Having Baby)

The hospital I had my babies at was wonderful and very baby friendly. One of the great things was the free stuff for baby they give you. They gave us a diaper bag full of stuff like diapers, nose sucker, wipes, changing mat, hat, swaddle blankets, baby shampoo, body wash, and coupons. I even asked for a few more things for myself and they were very generous (such as heating pads, mesh undies, container of Tucks, and nipple cream). Don’t be afraid to ask the nurses for some extra goodies 😉

Did you get a lot of freebies when you were expecting? What was your favorite freebie?
